Technique
Hiza-tomoe-nage
Tomas Ussing / Tomas Ussing and Louis Pablo Corulo
Description
If tomoe-nage is applied too far from uke and/or if uke is defending the attack by crouching, you can still save the throw, by using your foot to redirect and twist uke into ippon landing to one side of tori as opposed to flying over tori. Additionally uke will have a shorter period of time, to twist himself out of the "normal" tomoe-nage. Application of the driving foot as well as the steering motion of the arms are in the same fashion as hiza-guruma, hence the name: "hiza-tomoe-nage"
